Weather Watch: No Jan. 31 Activities

We are closely monitoring the next round of winter weather expected this weekend for our area. Based on the forecast and after consulting with local emergency teams, all extra-curricular activities for Saturday, Jan. 31, have been canceled.

Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.

    My name is Rachel Roper. I was born in Ohio but Georgia has been home for over thirty years. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2003 with my B.A. in English and again in 2011 with my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Secondary English Education. I've taught in Bibb County for nine years, primarily 11th grade American Literature, but have also taught 9th and 10th Literature, 9-12 Drama I-III, and AVID for grades 9, 10, and 12. This year at BASA, I'll be teaching 9th grade and 11th grade Literature.
