The Science Department at Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy offers standard based instruction in the study of various physical and life sciences. Students will pursue the basics of science through scientific inquiry while utilizing the scientific method to solve real life problems. Through evidence-based learning and laboratory experiences, students will make discoveries, identify relationships through experimentation, describe and measure with precision, and make inferences. The goal of the program is for students to gain a basic understanding of the science disciplines and apply their scientific knowledge to make informed decisions and generate appropriate solutions to problems.
