The social studies department at Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy is aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence. The goal is to prepare students to be global citizens in a complex, interdependent world and to develop an understanding of multiple perspectives. Our classes are designed to develop responsible citizenship through collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, and research. Our hope is for all students who emerge from our program to be respectful of cultural diversity and to be active and informed citizens.
